In 2022, I, Colin Johnstone, founded the Name Train Depot website as an e-commerce venture for our family. Our primary product is Wooden Name Trains, which are wooden toy trains with an engine and a caboose. These trains are called name trains because the carriages are selected to correspond to the letters of a child's name. Besides being enjoyable to play with, they also have an educational aspect. Name trains are often a child's first exposure to spelling their own name, and it's exciting to watch them rearrange the carriages in the correct order. Unlike other Australian online stores that only offer one wooden name train, we offer a variety of models to choose from. An additional benefit is that our wooden name trains are fully compatible with all wooden railway systems.
